Enjoy Your Favorite Italian Operas, Performed by Talented Soloists
Opera Dolce, in collaboration with the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s Community Events program, presents an afternoon of Italian operatic music from the celebrated Bel Canto and Verismo periods.
Vocal selections from beloved operas by Verdi, Giordano, Ponchielli and other great Italian composers will be performed by soloists Andrew Costello (Cologne Opera, Carnegie Hall, Zürich Opera) and Pamela Lloyd (Theater an der Wien, Czech State Orchestra, Off-Broadway). Our singers will be accompanied by renowned pianist Dan Franklin Smith (Stuttgart Philharmonic, St-Martin-in-the-Fields, Bruckner Festival Linz).
Opera Dolce productions have been called “first rate” and “highly satisfying” (See http://www.operadolce.org/reviews.html). Our soloists have performed on the world’s stages, including La Scala, Cologne Opera, Zürich Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Carnegie Hall and Broadway. For more information about Opera Dolce, see www.operadolce.org.
