Learn a New Quilting Skill at this Spectacular Workshop
See the incredible handiwork of American Folk Artists and learn something new at the Intarsia Patterning Workshop! This special quilting demonstration and hands-on seminar offers guests an in-depth look at a historic quilting technique and put the skill to use in their own projects.
Examining the relationship between marquetry and quilting, this workshop hosted by the American Folk Art Museum offers an introduction to intarsia patterning, an intricate and beautiful technique that has been practices for generations. Taught by woodworker and quilter Lesley Gold, participants will learn the fundamentals of geometric patterning that leads to the concept of an individual quilt design through fabric piecing. All materials will be provided, so be sure to attend this wonderful and educational workshop!
